Kyoungju joined Chung-Ang University in March 2007. She received a Ph.D from Computer & Information Science at University of PennsylvaniaM in 2005. During her Ph.D, she studied physics-based simulation for medical imaging at Center for Human Modeling and Simulation(HMS) lab. Her Ph.D advisor is Dimitris Metaxas, well-known with deformable models, and co-advisor is Leon Axel Ph.D, M.D, radiologist, famous for tagged MR images.

She then served as a research professor at Computer Science Dept. at Rutgers University. Starting oct. 2005, she worked for Multimedia Lab., Telecommunication Research Center, Samsung Electronics. Her contribution was graphical camera applications on mobile devices. One of them is mobile panorama system, now availabe on Samsung SCH-V730 model etc.

Now she is a faculty member at Dept. of Advanced Imaging Science, GSAIM (Graduate School of Advanced Imaging, Multimedia&Film) at Chung-Ang University, Seoul South Korea. And also she is the director of Motion Graphics Lab.
